A Tradition of Camp Lighthouse to begin Anew at YMCA
WHO: Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind (CLB) will host an annual tradition, 53rd Camp Lighthouse, at the YMCA in Silver Spring.
WHAT: This new location will afford campers who are blind or low vision the opportunity to participate in new camp activities such as learning about creating structures with Lagos, practicing some new dance moves,, and participating in creative arts projects. Some of previous year’s highlights will continue such as beep-baseball which is an adaptive version of baseball; preparing some healthy snacks independently, and reading and writing braille.
